By Joan. Everyone in Barcelona calls this building La Pedrera, the stone quarry, and almost nobody calls it Casa Mila. It is my favorite roof in the city, and if what you want is somewhere to stand rather than something to look at, I would send you here before Casa Batllo.

About Casa Mila (La Pedrera)

Casa Mila was Gaudi's last residential project, finished in 1912, and the wave of limestone across the front plus the warrior chimneys on top are hard to mistake for anything else. The day ticket includes the recreated apartment and the attic, and the attic is the part I would not rush. The night experience, Gaudi's Pedrera, puts projections on the rooftop and comes with a glass of cava. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it sits a few minutes from Casa Batllo on the same street, which is why most people do both in the same morning.
