By Joan. I have lived here for 16 years and I still look up when I come out of the metro at Sagrada Familia, which is not something I can say about any other building in Barcelona. If you only have two days, this is the one I would book first and the one I would never try to walk into on the day.
About Sagrada Familia
Gaudi started this basilica in 1882, it is still unfinished, completion is scheduled for 2026 and more than four million visitors a year come through it. The Nativity and Passion facades are what everyone photographs from the street, but the part that surprises people is inside, where the stained glass turns the nave a different color depending on the hour you walk in. Tower access is optional and it changes the ticket you need, so decide before you pay. I would buy skip-the-line and I would go early, because the queue outside moves more slowly than it looks. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
