Our booking partners

I do not sell tickets and I do not handle bookings. What I do is find the activity, compare what is out there, and send you to the platform where you actually book it. If you buy after clicking one of my links, I earn a commission that costs you nothing extra. That is the whole business model of this site, and I would rather you read it here than guess.

Who I send you to

Right now I route to two booking platforms:

• Viator, part of the Tripadvisor group. It is my default for most activities in Barcelona: it is the one I use out of habit and the one I know best, so it is the one I show you first.
• GetYourGuide, as an alternative when you want to check availability and price on a second platform before committing.

When you leave the Search all options box ticked, both platforms open so you can compare. Untick it and only the recommended one opens. Your choice is remembered for next time.

I am signed up to their affiliate programmes and that is the entire relationship. I do not work for either company, neither of them sees or approves what I write here, and I have no connection whatsoever with the Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, FC Barcelona or any other place I send you to.

How I make money

If you book through my links, the platform pays me a commission. You pay exactly the same. There is no markup for coming through this guide, and nobody can pay me for placement (no operator has ever bought a better position here, and if that ever changed I would say so on the page where it happened). The commission pays the hosting and the hours I put into keeping these pages current.

What this means for you

Prices you see here are indicative, they are set by each platform and not by me, and they move with dates, season and availability. They are always "from" prices, they go out of date quietly, and the only one that counts is the one on the checkout screen. Check the current price before you book.

Cancellations, payment, changes and customer service are handled by the platform you book with, not by this guide. Your contract is with them. If something goes wrong with a booking, they are the ones who can fix it, though I do want to hear about it so I can stop recommending whatever let you down.

Why I link to more than one

No single platform lists everything. Some activities exist on only one of them, and the price for the same tour can differ between the two. Comparing takes you a few seconds and it is the only way to know you are not paying over the odds. That is also why I leave the box ticked by default: I would rather you see both and choose than trust me blindly.
